Overall Satisfaction with Ziflow

We build websites for our clients and we need a way to easily pass feedback to our developer to make changes to ensure high quality when passing to our clients. Previously we were getting PDFs of the websites and annotating feedback on that which was very inefficient and caused issues because sometimes the feedback was unclear.
  • Versioning - We can easily see the previous version of the website and compare it with the update to ensure that the revisions were made as intended
  • Approval process - Can go through multiple layers of approvals across departments which ensures a high quality before it's delivered to the client
  • Multiple screen sizes - Toggling between multiple screen sizes allows us to ensure a perfect experience across all devices and we can give feedback at each level
  • Build solution for Shopify Preview Theme - Currently the Shopify preview link doesn't work natively within Ziflow so we can have to do a roundabout method to get it to work
  • Website accessed from a US server - For some clients we have a redirect which takes them to the US version of the site so when we want to proof, we have to turn the redirect off as Ziflow accesses it from the US
  • 25% faster communication between developer and designer
  • Removed all miscommunications with feedback we had previously
It has made it incredibly easy and while we don't use it to it's full extent since we're a smaller team, once we start growing I can see how we'd use the multiple layers of approval to take it cross departments to ensure a high quality when it's finally delivered to the client.
By allowing multiple people to review at the same time, all stakeholders can get their feedback in. However, we tend not to do that as sometimes there is conflict of opinion so we try to relegate it to one person for visual and experience feedback and one for just a final check over.

It's streamlined the process from developer to designer and feedback is easily communicated and actioned. With versioning and being able to see the before and afters allows the designer to ensure that the changes went through appropriately. Where it hasn't worked as well is that if you're using a Shopify preview link, the workaround is such that the link is only active for 2 days i.e. the designer has to give feedback within that time when it may not always be realistic and causes the developer to have to make a new link.
