It's best used in customer service, esp for those encountering similar interactions from time to time. Also, you can totally use it to seek opinions from relevant users on a matter regarding your business, the tool is perfect for engaging and crowd-sourcing.

eClincher

We are a small, boutique agency with a limited number of clients. Our clients, in turn, have social profiles on 2-6 different networks each. At our current portfolio, we need more profile connections than most SMM can offer, but fewer than a massive enterprise option. eClincher is perfect for smaller agencies that can't justify the cost of some massive SaaS solution, but still need an SMM to save time and craft cohesive messages. It is bare bones and little harder to use than some of the other more established SMM programs out there. Because of that, there is a learning curve for people who aren't as familiar with computers. eClincher is better from an agency side, but may not be the best solution to resell to a client.

Pros

  • The smart clustering works wonder and will help you loads in managing a huge number of mentions everyday or reaching out to people who might be interested in your product. The tool cleverly groups similar tweets together even though they don't match word by word. It saves me time everyday responding to tweets with similar content. The nice thing about it is you can customize your responses so you don't sound like a machine, thus the personal touch is still there.
  • 12mass is the only tool that allows you to measure your responses against stipulated metrics like engagement rate, click-through rate and so on, so you know which responses are best welcome by the audience
  • The system gets smarter as you use it, which speeds up the conversations even further.

  • eClincher enables me to produce white label reports showing statistics and illustrated with graphs. These are produced in seconds against the couple of hours it would take me to produce the same documents manually.
  • I love the 'queueing' feature which means I can save evergreen content to queues and have them reposted according to my desired schedule. One of the key benefits to this is that if I am unable to schedule content for whatever reason I am reassured that content will still be posted via queues.
  • The integration with tools such as Feedly and Canva is outstanding as it means I have a single dashboard from which to manage most of my day to day activities.

Cons

  • Still a bit of lag, but that's compared to super slick interfaces that we usually use like Google LinkedIn and Facebook. I hope they go big soon and can throw more money into their servers so we have a better experience! With the service they provide, I'm usually willing to wait a few extra seconds to reach many extra people.
  • I would prefer the 'Delete' button to be bigger so its easier to quickly remove the unwanted stuff.
  • Maybe different colored backgrounds for their responses? Right now the layout is all in shades of blue and white. While its still easy to navigate, it might be better to have more colors so certain parts stand out more.

  • I struggle to find anything to criticise about this tool. The staff are very accessible and any problems I experience are usually resolved quickly via chat. This includes any 'cons' whereby I have made a couple of suggestions for feature requests and these have actually been developed and implemented.

When you are used to engaging with a lot of people, it's hard and not advisable to reduce the intensity.

Maybe its a small company and they don't have too many customers, but they always reply quickly and to the point. This saves me time and allows me to make money for my company :)

Alternatives Considered

Hootsuite is great in managing multiple platforms but it's not exactly a conversation tool. I would say Hootsuite for management, 12mass for engagement.

In my quest to find the best Social Media Management software, I tried just about every service out there (scrolling through Capterra, TrustRadius, and G2 Crowd to find new programs). I was able to go for about 4 months on free trials alone and kept a log of the pros and cons, and weighed those against time saved and cost. Though there were many "prettier" options out there, eClincher had the most options at the best price point. It also had the best growth options for growing agencies.

Return on Investment

  • Better customer service and more interactions on twitter for sure! I've seen a huge jump in the interactions since I started using the product. Also, I've established a lot of connections with influencers by asking meaningful questions.
  • It definitely saves time, I don't think you can ever engage with that many people manually.
  • More people are trying our products as we find a fit between their needs and our offerings through engaging with them on Twitter.

  • I estimate that I save around 5-10 work hours each month. It may be more, but I want to put a conservative estimate here. eClincher reduces the amount of time needed to post to each channel, collates all the notifications into one stream, and offers time-saving tools that streamline social media management for multiple clients. This saves me time that I can spend on other projects or client acquisition. Which in turn, could reduce costs for clients or my agency as a whole.
  • Scheduled posting allows me to "bank" time (use excess hours or downtime to store posts for later time periods where I may be busier), but it also frees up my weekends and evenings with scheduled posts. Though some platforms offer post scheduling natively (Facebook), many others do not (LinkedIn, Instagram). This offers better time management (especially on fixed-hour contracts) and a healthier work-life balance.
