More data - more valuable insights+ Best fit if someone who is looking for deeper insights of individual page- Not suggested for very fewer visits of a website. Suggested to improve better visit count

Intercom is great for companies that have close relationships with customers or who want to have close relationships with customers. It's the ultimate tool for being able to communicate with customers in a personalized way, provide them with real-time answers, as well as allow them to help themselves with knowledge base tools and automated messaging.

  • Provides heatmaps that shows you the elements on your site that are and aren't performing well.
  • Provides scrollmaps so you can see how far down a page users are scrolling and which content never gets seen.
  • Screenshots show you how your website looks across a variety of different devices.
  • Provides a type of clickmap called confetti that enables you visualise clicks by segments - device, new/returning visitors, campaigns and other metrics.

  • Intercom splits their chat really well. The chats are able to be split between internal notes and actual sent messages.
  • Tagging works really well in Intercom. You can tag each user and can also tag users in messages/internal notes so they can directly see messages intended for them.
  • Easy documentation management. You are able to find the help docs you need easily even during a chat message.

  • The largest thing we've struggled with is the Optimizely integration. I've contacted customer service a few times to get it properly setup. Customer Service is always friendly and helpful; they provide clear steps to get it setup. Unfortunately despite clear instructions, they are tedious, and if not completed in the correct order, the integration with Optimizely does not work. My success rate with the integration is less than 55%.

  • Targeting messages appropriately
  • We often have several messages compounding on top of each other
  • I'd love if they could notify people who have not marked our announcements/messages/communication as read so that they don't end up having several un-related messages overwhelming them
  • When a thread is continued from a previous questions, I wish it was more obvious that the conversation had already been started with a particular person

It's a great tool considering how inexpensive it is. If used correctly and you have a plan for tracking your websites, this tool can make a world of a difference. If you are not going to sit down and take the time to make a plan for how to use this tool, I would say it is not worth your time. Yes, you can look at items on your website that need to be changed, but without a consistent plan, other important items that need changing can be lost in the mix. Make sure you have enough time and energy to invest in this and it will be well worth it

It's currently a perfect fit for our needs, and we are customer-focused and small. When we grow, we may need to re-evaluate, but our current team finds it easy. Reviewing conversations is simple and allows for great training. The canned replies make service fast and easy. Smart suggestions remove the need to re-write technical walkthroughs and explanations for our FAQ

I gave Crazy Egg an overall rating of 9 because of its easy to use dashboard, integration and useful tools. If I need to quickly setup a page test, I can add the URL to make a snapshot, start the test and sometimes walk away (until its complete). Crazy Egg allows you set when the test should conclude, which can be helpful if you need to manage monthly visitor usage. You can test on all devices or be specific (i.e. Mobile). I also gave it a 9 because I feel as though the software [Crazy Egg] could improve on its steps to integrate with the A/B testing tool, Optimizely.

It is very easy to learn and use for newbies. They use their features to help the user learn how to work Intercom. I was guided by product tours several times during my initial training. Being slightly more advanced with technology, I wish I could make more changes to the platform, but they have designed it in a way to make it easier for all levels of tech users.

It's slow to post data, and slow to get a snapshot to finally be active (i.e. not pending). Not intolerable, but would be nice to see data within a couple hours. Often have to wait to the next day.

I think support is an area where Crazy Egg is lacking. I would love to have a quarterly check-in with a Crazy Egg rep to understand what kinds of changes have been made to the platform and what is on the horizon. I also think a quick consulting sessions with a rep could be extremely beneficial, as I'm sure there are ways to use the tool that we haven't even thought about yet that would be extremely insightful for our team.

We received an almost immediate response, however, despite the issue being quite urgent and stating that, we did not receive an update for almost an entire day. When we requested an update, we were told that this was due to time differences between the person that received the request and us. The timely nature of support should not be dependent on a single person

It is very simple to use, everything from setting up to seeing the results. You can easily export everything into a JPG or PDF and share it with clients. CrazyEgg is also more value oriented with a lower price point.

  2. Automatically import chats to your CRM.
SnapEngage is not a perfect tool but also allows easy stipulation-setting for when the chats should appear on different web pages. It also tracks these stats once they are live on the site.

Its reliability (not scaleability, as the question asks for, sorry) is pretty good but through our testing we know that some clicks do not get recorded. It doesn't bother us a lot because we look at the aggregate of thousands of visits, but we do know it misses things.As for scaleability, it's about right. You really don't want zillions of clicks per snapshot - the screen just turns to 100% dots and you lose the ability to differentiate different screen areas. We find that 25,000 clicks for a page gives us a really good view.
