Likelihood to Recommend I would highly recommend CrowdStrike Falcon to any organization serious about bolstering its cybersecurity defenses. The platform's effectiveness in threat detection, proactive mitigation, and scalability make it a valuable asset in today's ever-evolving threat landscape. Despite some learning curves and integration challenges, the return on investment and the overall security enhancement justify its strong recommendation.
Read full review Dynatrace is well suited to a number of tasks. It is important to determine who the end users are and gather good information to tailor their experience accordingly. For instance, business/marketing should not have access to some of the more technical data, and business metrics can be a distraction for IT operations personnel.
Read full review Pros The Log analysis is very detailed and easy to use. Prevent and block all type of malwares. Great threat intelligence which is very up-to-date with the recent cyber attacks very user friendly in access and management Automated feature of detecting, taking action and closing incidents using fusion workflow. Read full review We loved Dynatrace's ability to show the data flow - from the front end points through the back end points straight to the database and various API's. It was advanced in its data visualization. This is useful for debugging - showing when/where the errors are. It can even enable non-technical individuals in the corporation to help debug Dynatrace has some great highly customizable integration options as well as monitoring. You can configure your layout & integration options to create custom monitoring alerts for your applications performance. Further you can increase the extensibility of using a REST API on your architecture. Some advanced dev-ops systems are utilizing Kubernetes/docker aswell as Node.JS - Dynatrace was able to log and help understand all of our dev-ops needs. It gave us native alerts based off of deviations from the baseline that we set during initial configuration. These metrics are priceless. Read full review Cons Sometimes updates to sensor versions fail, which requires manual intervention by internal staff members The variety of different administrative privilege levels is vast and sometimes confusing Proactive notifications confirming the health of the environment would be great instead of just reporting on potential issues Read full review Dynatrace does not monitor easily on AIX OS. Dynatrace does not monitor easily on a C-based application. The way DPGR is addressed by Dynatrace is not very complete, and not clear. One thing is to mask the IP and request attributes but is not enough, the replay session feature is great but raises serious questions about user tracking. Read full review Likelihood to Renew Crowdstrike has a large suite of tools built for helping the engineers triage and respond to security event whenever identified. The ability to customize the security policies and implement more granular policies to different devices based on the functionality is unmatched. Crowdstrike provides so much of ability in a decent budget which ascertains the value for money or ROI.
Read full review We have already renewed our purchase with the company. They make it easy for us to get a temporary license for our contingency site that is only used for testing twice a year. We are expanding our license with for this tool. We find it very useful and will renew it again.
Read full review Usability I think it is a complete and very trustful XDR platform, with very few False Positives. It is very well supported by highly skilled professionals on all levels: from pre-sales engineers, Customer Account Managers and support engineers.
Read full review I really liked how easy it was to deploy the SaaS vesion of Dynatrace in our environment. We have a lot of tools that have plenty of capability but they don't get a whole lot of use because they would require someone who is an expert to use them. With the SaaS version of Dynatrace, all the admin functions are taken care of by the Dynatrace team (updates, patches, new features, bugs, etc.) and our small shop can focus on getting valuable metrics, alerts and issue resolution from the product.

Read full review Performance We have not seen where it does slow down an application.
Read full review Support Rating Support is generally pretty fast and gets right to the issue. We haven't had to use them much, fortunately, but the issues and questions we've had are usually answered quickly. The customer success manager/account manager you're assigned will also follow up with you on a regular cadence to ensure you're getting the most out of the subscription. There's not a whole lot of room to improve, other than the general confusion about what is/what is not covered in custom packages you're subscribed to. The initial purchase took much longer because of a package name changes and realignments of different modules into those packages.
Read full review Given that Dynatrace has become an informal industry standard, the plethora of information available on forums is massive. Most problems or roadblocks you come across are most likely (almost certainly, in fact) already solved and solutions available on these forums. The tech support at Dynatrace is also quite good, with prompt and knowledgeable people at their end.
Read full review In-Person Training There is limited amount of learning that can be completed in an in-person training available. In my opinion, the self-paced learning provided by Falcon portal is more useful over in-person training. The support from Falcon is great and useful to overcome difficulties, if any.
Read full review We did both online and in house training - they used our system so it made more sense.
Read full review Online Training The training provided by Crowdstrike Falcon is complete in terms of the depth of technical knowledge and teaches the users about going through with the platform. There are lots of jargons for different tools that Crowdstrike Falcon has and this training teaches them all which helps in managing the platform better. Plus, the regular knowledge checks are also very helpful for the end user.
Read full review The training was done on our time and with our system.
Read full review Implementation Rating Using Dynatrace support services to assist (and lead) the implementation was extremely important.
Read full review Alternatives Considered CrowdStrike Falcon's cloud-native architecture gives it an edge in terms of scalability, ease of deployment, and real-time threat intelligence updates. The user interface of Falcon is intuitive and offers clear visibility into our organization's threat landscape. Our team felt more comfortable navigating Falcon's dashboard. CrowdStrike Falcon's API and integration capabilities meant we could easily incorporate it into our existing tech stack, enhancing our other tools. Falcon's seemed more flexible for our specific needs.
Read full review Synthetic Monitoring automatically does what other products do only through the use of other tools or through the development of user applications that still have a high cost of maintenance. The other products are not immediately usable and require many customizations. Through the use of configuration automatisms, you can be immediately operational and, in our case, we detected several imperfections in the applications.

Read full review Return on Investment Centralized resource management means we need less tools to do the same job. EDR data is massive and has to be factored into the overall cost of the product. You are exponentially punished for more devices. CS has allowed larger coverage over devices and has discovered massive pockets of no protections. Read full review Thanks to Dynatrace we have been able to effectively challenge and collaborate with service providers and outsourced IT teams. Thanks to Dynatrace we have reduced MTTR on troubleshooting by a magnitude of four.
