CrunchTime! is well suited for non-franchised restaurant brands. When you have control of the end-user it makes deployment and use much easier. It is less suited for franchised restaurants because of the inability for the franchiser to require its use. Without end-user interaction some data points are not available. Some of the recent changes in the software have addressed this.

Read full review Pros The integration to our Vendors is well done allow us to place orders and monitor vendors for contract compliance. The integration to our POS was simple which allows us to easily exchange data. There update cadence is short and they are always releasing system improvements. Read full review Timely reminders of when checklists need to be executed; The team is alerted audibly and visually when checklists are coming due or when they are past due. Customized text message confirmations when audits are completed/incomplete; This feedback closes the loop with the Management Team confirming the status of the required daily checklists/audits. Documented proof of completion through photos; Checklist questions/items can be setup to require photos to be taken as visual evidence that a task was completed. This adds a check-and-balance feature that deters pencil whipping tasks and eases the burden on the Management Team when it comes to auditing compliance and driving accountability. Remote printing from any device setup with Jolt; We have iPads throughout the restaurant communicating real-time information with various functions within the store. It is very convenient when a Team Member in one department can print on the device in front of them, while calling out to another Team Member to retrieve labels from the printer when on their way to assist with a job function. Read full review Jolt tends to have a long load time when creating a new list item. For example, you click the plus button to add a new list and it will go to a loading screen for a minute our two before moving to the next screen. It does not give a time out error it just takes a bit to load. I find this tends to happen during normal business hours and not so much an issue when using it on nights and weekends. Jolt does not integrate with our payroll system, so we could not use the time keeping piece of Jolt. I believe this is more of an issue with the payroll system than an issue with Jolt. Jolt is very user friendly and offers a lot of solutions to my companies needs. If it offered a Payroll piece and a Point of Sale piece it would make it a complete system that would solve 99% of my companies needs.

The system itself is very user friendly and every one of our team members is able to use it easily. The only difficulty that we have occasionally run into is a lack of connectivity between the Bluetooth printer and the iPAD. There are only two or three of us on staff that are well versed enough with the product to be able to fix it when there is this kind of issue.

When I have had questions or needed technical support, I have received a very prompt response to my emails. The answers are concise and if there are instructions they are easy to follow and implement. All interactions I have had with the Jolt team have been a very positive experience.

We selected CrunchTime! many years ago because they were a relatively small company with a good product. We have grown with them. We have looked at competitors over the years and have not found a company that we would consider switching to.

Jolt provides a full house of solutions. I would have to go with at least two of the other companies to capture all the solutions I was looking for. Jolt gave me all of it. I also want to be clear that other companies promised solutions that they hadn't built out yet. Jolt is upfront and honest about things they are working on, but they won't sell them to you as a means to get you in, only to disappoint you. I have a lot of respect for that.

The software has allowed us to maintain quality and determine which stores are not properly executing our recipes which allows us to do customized training. Read full review Food safety processes have reduced significant amount of time managing. Cleanliness- Saved some labor dollars here by implementing a more consistent process. Added some training videos on cleanliness to help give a clear message of the expectation. Recipe Management- We have saved thousands on having the ability to upload live recipes and be global rather than having the paper copies of recipes laying around and possibly not being up to date.
