If you are looking to enrich your existing database, Data Axel Genie isn't the easiest tool to use. I do like how the contacts are verified, however, you have to pay PER contact if you are enriching, and if you merged existing infrastructures, it's not as easy to clean out your database. And it is very costly for this company.Incentivized
The scenario we most commonly use Hunter for is to quickly find and retrieve contact email information. Phone numbers are an added bonus, but they tend to only be available for contacts in the US. SDRs have the extension in order to confirm or to help them "guess" as to what a contact's email address might be. This speeds up our prospecting time considerably. Where Hunter falls short is not being flexible where companies have more than one email format.Incentivized
I liked the organization of the database it was easy to maneuver.Search was fairly easy to maintain. If you want to create a list of leads this will work. However, it is primarily for consumer leads not B2B.Incentivized
Hunter provides a quick and easy way to look up the email format for any company using the free Google Chrome extension.Hunter allows you to upload a bulk list of emails and verify them easily.Hunter shows where verified emails were found on web pages and PDF documents. This shows that the emails were published by trusted sources.Incentivized
We have a very specific industry and sometimes drilling down to these leads can be challenging. But with customer service, they have solved this for us.
Hunter is only as valuable as the information it is able to scrape from the internet. If a company has not listed any email addresses online, then Hunter is not going to be able to find it.Sometimes Hunter is only able to identify non-personal-specific email addresses (ex: info @, support@, etc.). This makes it difficult to identify personnel emailsSometimes companies will have different email domains that Hunter is not able to correlate. For example, when searching for an email address at Lead.com, Hunter is not able to point to ParentCompany.com email addresses that would be more useful.Incentivized
It was good when we had it but there definitely more softwares out there that provide more information, more current contact info and are much more user friendly Incentivized
Easy to use and great customer service.
Spot on and always available.
Salesgenie seemed more intuitive and knowledgeable account manager that handled my account. He quickly assisted my company needs and made recommendations based on the information I provided him Incentivized
We have been trying to get lead information on SalesTools and PLENTY, however, these two tools are mostly oriented to create follow-up campaigns and the setup is pretty complicated. If you are looking to create just a list of semi-qualified leads, you may try Hunter, but SalesTools has already an inner feature to build prospects in a better way. Incentivized

Positive to be sure. I don't always get the results I want, but I use the free version and I'm satisfied to go there first when I need an emailIt's a fast quality product. It was better before when it resided on my LinkedIn account, but that's another matter...Incentivized
