Diligent Boards provides a number of capabilities ranging from security to arranging meetings to distribution of board meeting materials. Although other products also have these capabilities but I would say security is at next level for Diligent Boards which makes it suitable …
It provides the best services among all the other competitors. It's more secure, easy to use, more cost-effective, and gives the best of all. The most important feature that sets it apart is its ability to access data from anywhere with the utmost security and encryption.
Boardvantage was in some ways better with the ability to do a global search of a term, security features, and also the ability to edit documents within the portal.
Much more user friendly because board portal replicates a binder which Directors are familiar with. Also the 24/7 customer service is reliable and has never let us down!
Diligent Boards is much more user friendly, easier to navigate for both the administrators and the end users. Diligent Boards creates a much cleaner, nicer looking book.
BoardPad is way more complicated with worse aesthetic result.

Chose Diligent Boards
It was the end user interface that ultimately sold me on Diligent Boards. I also appreciated the customer service center being Diligent employees, the high level of security features, and the single username and password for directors with multiple Diligent Boards sites.
It is very useful for multinational organizations that require secure and easy-to-use board operations. It helps coordinate between different board members. It provides very high-security document sharing options to the users. It really helps organize board meetings in a very effective and strategic manner.
not so easy to handle access when we have to arrange a specific, non-standard set up of access: sometimes we have to limit the access to one or few of the members of a particular book
calendar function will be useful, but it is an additional cost
As previously stated, I applaud how effective the customer service team was during the onboarding process. They communicated effectively and offered around-the-clock assistance. The training sessions are also useful and allow you to learn at your own pace. They are also willing to set up time to discuss any concerns.
Diligent Boards provides a number of capabilities ranging from security to arranging meetings to distribution of board meeting materials. Although other products also have these capabilities but I would say security is at next level for Diligent Boards which makes it suitable for my organisation. Customer support resolved queries quite soon and they are quite knowledgeable.
Market leading and used by some Board members already at other organizations
I like that our documents are stored in a secure place and are easily accessible for the users
I use the software on a PC and most of our users use the software on an iPad. My only criticism would be that i do have concerns of how documents we upload on a PC may appear visually on the users iPads.
