Grovo is fantastic for bringing a team of people up to speed and for teaching a few things to a large audience. We found Grovo to be lacking when specific training is required or when the training required a certain level of skill. Grovo is fantastic for broad training, less so for specific depth training
My training is focused on disability support workers and health professionals. It has addressed the needs of these two groups really well. I like being able to create, for example characters I include on the slides and show them, for example, at the local pharmacy. Enables you to make them relatable across the presentation and to put in aspects that the audience will relate to
Adding audio narration to interactive slides is easy, but still perhaps a bit repetitive/clunky
The way you add playlists works well, but wish it was "project/course specific", instead of carrying over from project to project. Easy to delete playlists, tho.
If you have a common set of learner resources to make available over many courses, you must manually add the URLs and/or PDFs manually each time. Would be so nice to be able to create a "reference list" and import it to each course with a click or two. This is the most annoying thing I can think of about iSpring.
iSpring Suite is a perfect tool overall to create contents in collaboration with colleagues. There are some difficulties though in usability but the usability is OK in total. We are fully satisfied with the customer support. There are simple online tutorials and a team of competent support colleagues. The support content is sometimes not simply accessible, you need to search for them longer.
When we have had issues with Grovo not working or a problem with report we have always gotten an answer quickly. We have a rep that we speak to often to make sure we are satisfied with the system and is just a quick email away. It nice to know we have support that will get back to you in a quick manner as we rely on this software.
Great software is only exceeded by their fantastic support. Prompt responses, complete with clearly outlined steps to follow, are just the beginning. There are tremendous resources and continual webinars to challenge what we think we know about the iSpring Suite. I often use PowerPoint to lay out marketing slides, add music and narration, then publish them as an MP4 video. I can count on iSpring support to assist me when I need help.
The elephant in the room for me, would be TreeHouse. Grovo is very similar to TreeHouse in the fact that they're both programs with lesson tracks, simple and short videos, as well as progress trackers. I would have to say that I enjoyed learning coding on TreeHouse over Grovo, based on the wide variety of native coding languages they have implemented. Grovo, although extremely similar and easy to use as well, doesn't stack up to TreeHouse in my opinion. Grove does, however, beat out Lynda in my humble opinion
Ultimately, I selected iSpring Suite because of the ease of use and small learning curve. I needed to be able to start creating content immediately, and after doing trial periods with iSpring as well as some of the other options, it was clear that I could be up and running the quickest with iSpring. I don't see any features that are missing for what I need, and it was also the cheapest option.
Zero impact. When we determined they were not a good fit for us, we decided to go another direction. I would certainly try them again however if they addressed my concerns as their service was excellent.
We allow potential customers to sample training and feedback is our offerings differentiate us from our peers.
Having the ability to offer an accessible training catalog and self-enrollment is also something our customers comment on positively.
The training developed in iSpring has allowed our customers to prepare for further interaction with our processes and projects on their own timeline, and has positively impacted the ease with which we are able to execute project rollouts.
