Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize MIP for our purchase orders and accounts payable/receivables. I like MIP, there are a few functions I would like to see added to the purchase order tasks, but overall the program fits our needs well. We will be looking into the e-requisition soon.

Pros and Cons

Perfect for tracking purchase orders by vendor.
Great at tracking purchase order balances.

I would like to see purchase order adjustments allowed.
Would like to see how to include a tracking field for products/categories without adding a lot of additional work.

Effectiveness at Managing Multiple Fund Sources

Yes, MIP is a great software for managing multiple funds and sources. We currently have three separate organizations, under one umbrella, that utilize MIP.

Alternatives Considered

I have utilized PeopleSoft. I did like the additional options tasks it allowed, however, I have no problems at this time with MIP. I look forward to researching additional allowed task options in the near future, to include e-requisitioning.

MIP is a very easy system to utilize, it's very user friendly. Our organization is small, so MIP works well for us. As we grow, I can see where we will be looking for a little more flexibility in tasks.
