We use ActiveCampaign mainly for Lead scoring and e-mail marketing. It helps us to qualify leads and create conditional / personalized communication for our leads.
ActiveCampaign also helps us to evaluate if the lead is ready to be a qualified lead by understanding his e-mail and site interaction.
In this way, we try to create a personalized environment either for us, evaluating the properties of the lead.

ActiveCampaign is easier to use and has more resources. Autopilot creates great flow in a very visual and pretty way, but not that useful. Autopilot also crashed a lot despite ActiveCampaign that crashes too, but way less often than Autopilot.
ActiveCampaign also is way better in reports and information. Autopilot is too simplistic in some ways.
