Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
I use Adobe Acrobat to work with pdf documents I send and receive. The ability to edit a pdf is very useful, and I have found the tools to be user friendly. Also being able to convert Word documents into pdfs so they retain their appearance across formats is helpful.
- Adobe recognizes and separates out the various components of a pdf for editing.
- Adobe is almost universally used by the businesses with which I interact, making collaboration easier.
- I am very pleased with the mobile Adobe app -- especially the feature that allows me to take a picture and convert it to a pdf.
- When editing a pdf, it can sometimes be difficult to get various blocks to match up with font size.
- Allows us to send out documents with a fixed "look" that won't change based on the recipients hardware/software.
- Allows me to update pdfs that are used over multiple iterations.
- Having the mobile app is excellent for my particular situation because I work from home and do not have a scanner. The ability for the mobile app to recognize the dimensions of a new document so I don't have to spend a lot of time cropping is very helpful.

Adobe is very affordable for nonprofits like ours, and their customer service has proven to be quite responsive.
- Acrobat helps us maintain our brand look.
- Acrobat lets us combine components/documents from various team members who are collaborating on a project.
(I can't really comment on this because our IT department oversees our system security and compliance.)
I have experimented with a variety of free products (don't remember specific brands), but none has been as reliable or robust as Adobe.
