Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat is used to share document information with general users and patrons associated with our organization. It allows for the easy viewing of the document through a web browser with highly available plug-ins that have always been supported throughout my career. Easy tweaks to documents are possible using the editing tools, and you can also use Adobe Acrobat and the Adobe ecosystem to accept form submissions. And at times, we have also used the document signing functionality when required.
- Easy distribution of documents
- Low file size
- Added functionality for forms and document signing
- Easy to make small edits
- Larger edits are sometimes cumbersome to make depending on how the document was made...typically saved from a Word or InDesign document.
- Image quality control is a little tricky with the current processes.
- small file size
- viewable with free reader plug-in and software
- document signing
- forms
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
We use the Adobe Creative Suite of products at my organization, so this is a very easy add-on for staff that require this software. We just log into an admin portal and spin up the new user license as needed.
- On the negative side, our staff needs to create the Adobe Acrobat version of documents which adds a step on our end. But the result is that our users and patrons are able to seamlessly view our documents.
- Document signing capabilities are our primary way of sending a legal document around for review and approval to entities both within and external to our organization.
- While the forms functionality isn't used quite as much, it does have a place in our tool set for when needed. Especially when requirements of a process dictate a document to be printed with user info included.
We have had very few issues with Adobe Acrobat in regards to security and compliance. As mentioned previously, we use the document signing capabilities for legal documents and haven't had any issues or problems. And its great that its included in a tool that we already use...don't have to find another tool.
All PDF Converter worked OK for our needs, but it's not really that much cheaper in the long run that just using Adobe Acrobat.
