Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
We use Adobe Acrobat for a variety of different use cases across multiple departments. From an administrative standpoint, Adobe Acrobat is used for digital signing of HR and legal documentation but internally and externally. We also use Adobe Acrobat in the design/mockup process to deliver password protected proofs to clients and prospective clients. We also use it to create internal documentation for training, facilities signage/documentation, etc. We also use it to OCR and archive some of our legacy periodicals that we no longer produce.
- Wide feature set.
- Excellent OCR and layout recognition
- Excellent import and export capabilities across many file types.
- Ease of creating editable forms.
- The feature set is so wide that the learning curve is high for some users.
- Searchable help topics with videos would be fantastic.
- Menu organization can be confusing.
- Automatic OCR, image and layout recognition
- Digital signing options
- Creating editable forms.
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
Feature set and constant upgrades and improvements. Even though we don't love the subscription pricing model I can easily remove and reassign licenses for users that only need to use it for a brief period of time (eg. a supervisor needs to create forms and have them signed for annual performance reviews etc.).
- Were able to discontinue an expensive DocuSign contract
- Significant time saving for forms creation for non technical users.
- The subscription pricing model is not ideal especially as the rates have continued to increase over time.
We have not had any fallout from any Adobe Acrobat security incidents that I am aware of. We do not use their cloud storage for Adobe Acrobat files so the concern is minimal. The security of the Adobe Acrobat digital signature integration is a big asset as it is an industry standard and accepted format.
Much more robust features, frequently updated with new features. PDF Expert was fine for basic form creation for non savvy users but lacked all the automatic formatting, diverse importing/exporting, security settings, Adobe Acrobat digital signing, etc. Further they also switched to a subscription model which negated the cost savings to a certain extent.
