Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We use Acrobat DC to share and read reports, agreements, etc. We also use Acrobat Pro and Adobe Sign with Acrobat DC as needed.
  • Opens PDFs
  • Free to download and use.
  • Makes file sharing convenient and easy.
  • Integrates well with other programs (ex. Adobe Sign).
  • Converting to Word docs would be nice (not available in DC, just in Pro).
  • Opens files easily.
  • Free to download.
  • Intuitive to use.
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
  • Other
There are a lot of essential factors: Per-user cost, ease of license/user management, product functionality, ease of use, available training programs/resources, etc. The single most important would be a blend of price and security. We didn't want our team editing PDFs on a third-party website (even though it would be free) due to security risks. But most of them also didn't need to incur the monthly costs of InDesign, Illustrator, or the full Creative Cloud.
  • Savings of time trying to format documents correctly; PDFs hold their format.
  • Ease of transfer for print-ready or larger file types.
  • It has empowered multiple "non-designer" users to manipulate PDFs in minor ways, saving our design team time and allowing them to use their resources/time on other, more complex projects.
Because of the nature of our business, reliable encryption and security are paramount. We don't save many documents on Adobe's cloud, but it's helpful to know that there is a high emphasis placed on security. That's why we pay for authentic user licenses instead of using a free online PDF editor.
We liked Adobe Acrobat better due to the increased security versus other options. It also works easily with Microsoft and can be set as the default program to open PDFs. While some of the other options we evaluated offered similar interactions with non-Adobe products, Acrobat DC is within the house of Adobe products, which made it easier to maintain the integrity (ex., non-standard font packages) of PDFs and templates created in Illustrator and InDesign.
