Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop allows me to create unique content as well as retouch/edit photos. It is an essential part of my business, and I use it literally every day. From social media graphics to trade show displays, it can be used for a wide variety of projects. There really are not any other programs out there that can match it in terms of features and capability.
  • Constantly adding new features.
  • Integration with other Adobe products.
  • Initial version releases are usually full of bugs (has been my experience with the last 3 versions).
  • Removal of old features that were part of my workflow.
  • Allows me to produce original content.
  • Constant updates ensure my product knowledge remains current.
Photoshop is part of Adobe’s Creative Cloud, and all of its products integrate well together, which was a major selling point for me. The level of fine-tuning/adjustments within the program and the wide variety of available third party plugins was important to me as well. In addition, there were no other viable competing products, so it made our choice really simple.
Adobe’s knowledge base is constantly being updated, and if I can’t find an answer, their moderators usually answer questions pretty quickly. In addition, the availability of tutorials and tips/tricks is great. Adobe has done a great job of marketing Photoshop and there are lots of new methods and styles available for inspiration.

Adobe Photoshop is great for editing photos and creating original content, but it is not suitable for page layouts or other print projects. For editing and retouching photos there is really no other program out there that can match it. One of my favorite features is the content-aware fill. You have to adjust it a bit, but a retouch that would have taken hours now only takes a few minutes. It’s one of many examples of how Adobe Photoshop remains the photo editor of choice for design professionals.
