Overall Satisfaction with ADP SmartCompliance
ADP SmartCompliance is used to facilitate remittance of returns and taxes to local, regional, and federal agencies in the United States. We also use it to facilitate payments to our employees via the Wage Payments feature. We use ADP SmartCompliance to remit our garnishments to their respective agencies and firms as well.
- Review and process tax notices
- Timely notification of direct deposit errors
- Easy-to-use portal for tax and pay card purposes
- The ticket system could use some fine tuning. Currently we are not notified in any capacity on the portal or via email if our tickets are updated. We should receive some form of notification of an update whether on the SmartCompliance home page or via email.
- The ">" key in the Tax Analytics Dashboard section is not clickable unless you hover the cursor directly over the carat. It would be easier to drill down if it became a clickable "box" instead of just the character itself.
- In the Reports > Wage Payments section, I would like to see the ability to view more than 20 reports at a time. The tax section allows 50 or 100 reports/documents as an expansion to the default.
- ADP SmartCompliance and the tax management team were able to rectify a myriad of tax issues caused by our predecessor team in a matter of weeks. It exponentially reduced the manual labor that would have been involved if it weren't for its existence.
- ADP SmartCompliance saves our company a lot of time by automating filing and payment requirements. I cannot imagine if we had to manually file and remit payment to each of the local, regional, and federal agencies we are registered with.
- We have little compliance risk due to ADP SmartCompliance. This is because ADP SmartCompliance and the respective tax management team are on top of all compliance issues and notify us if there is an issue with any of our accounts almost immediately. This gives us ample time to rectify errors before any returns or payments are due.
- Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion)
While Oracle Cloud HCM provides the necessary data for taxes, garnishments, and wage payments, it does not automatically facilitate the remittance or payments like ADP SmartCompliance does. We selected ADP SmartCompliance because our team has used it for years prior and it makes payroll processing in its entirety much easier than most other platforms.
ADP SmartCompliance allows us to review and audit compliance with local, regional, and federal payroll tax agencies. For example, if we have a new employee, or an employee who relocated to a new jurisdiction and is not set up with ADP SmartCompliance, we receive an immediate notification of this upon the submission of our tax file to ADP. SmartCompliance then provides us with the proper contact details to the agency, as well as the format of the ID number upon registering.
Shout out to Stephanie Trimble and her team. When I started with this company in early 2019, Stephanie and her team rectified an immense amount of tax issues that were dropped in our laps. I can honestly say that if it weren't for Stephanie and her team, we would still be dealing with these tax and compliance issues today.
