Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to learn about new markets and technologies, particularly by viewing corporate documents and equity research reports. I use this as a starting point in my comprehensive research process, which I find particularly helpful for. I especially like the advanced Artificial intelligence based search methods and analytical capabilities embedded directly within the user interface.

The page counter system always makes me feel like I have to use the site strategically and in a low-resource manner, I would prefer unlimited access
The search often pulls up irrelevant items
the analytical capabilities are advanced, but I think there's room for improvement

It allows us to higher less people to do this kind of analysis
It allows us to stay up to date, which is essentially our job in a nutshell
It allows us to work faster and get to the point more easily

Usability

It is highly usable - anyone familiar with Google or Bing can use this product easily. The biggest hurdle is the page limits, but that can be overcome strategically. The search results themselves could be cleaned up a bit in my humble opinion, but I can usualyl find what I am looking for at the end of the day.

It is of the utmost importance. I can stay up to date with new tech, biology, mechanisms of action, market moves, and more through using AlphaSense efficiently. Competitive landscape is clear as day using AlphaSense, better than other platforms I use to especially when you consider time sensitivity (real time update) vs. periodic update with other databases.

Alternatives Considered

Cortellis

Some of the other products I use aren't located here. Clear advantage for AlphaSense is in the real time as well as contextual data, as opposed to just inaccurate datasheets with other data providers

I think anyone responsible for researching and evaluating new technologies, products, mechanisms of action, or new biology, would be greatly benefited by having all of the corporate world's information at their fingertips. This would be useful for analysts, managers, and directors primarily, although more senior individuals certainly benefit from having people on their team having access to AlphaSense.
