Overall Satisfaction with Ascentis
We use Ascentis for HR data management, employee self-service, payroll, recruiting and onboarding. This allows employees access to their own data, and in some cases, the ability to manage the data. Data and HR processes are now available from anywhere. This is a huge step forward from the file cabinet in an office being the only source of data.
- Easy access for employees via ESS
- The web resources are available from any computer
- Personable implementation and support team
- Moving more things from the remote desktop to the web application
- Making the web navigation more user friendly (less pop-up boxes)
- The flexibility to access data and run payroll from anywhere has been crucial in allowing the HR department be more adaptable and succeed when the unexpected happens.
Paychex was a limited tool that asked for extra money anytime you needed something more - even the ability to split an employee's pay between two budgets or track their PTO, which are pretty standard features of payroll. Ellucian was great for higher ed, but more than we would need at our company.
During implementation it was especially helpful to have an expert in the product walk me through the entire process.
