Overall Satisfaction with Automox

Automox is a great tool for end point deployment and patching, we have been using Automox over the years and it help was with Security configuration and to tun various custom scripts. Over the years the support via build in chat which is also live make to reach the Customer Service representative easily. Specially considering the dashboard with detailed graphical chats lets us understand the current system status.

  • Easy end point deployment and patching for all the end users
  • Scheduled downtime marks for the prod support users to have more control over the system
  • Reporting functionality need lot of scope for improvement
  • System comes downs multiple times which cause end users to suffer a lot
  • Remote access was working great at earlier versions nut not the scope has been reduced by a lot and multiple users cannot access at a time
  • Deployment and pathing effort reduces by one third of time, which saves time and money
  • Concern towards the security has much improved from time to time
  • Dashboard and reporting does has a lot of scope of improvement which in turns impact business
This the one of the best feature that Automox has provided, in our current organization we have reduce the human effort for maintenance by one third which saves business money and time. We have implement this in out banking sectors and planning to use the same tool on other sectors as well. It would be great if more automation is involved in this tool.
Automox has a great ability to gain visibility for the endpoint deployment and patch management but as per the current version there is lot of improvement. Multiple user cannot access multiple system at a time which looses the functionality of generic remote access. Also the need of automation for the deployment and patch management can improve in future.
Special thing about Automox is that it has customer deploy packages for many remote end points where as other tools listed does not have that privileges. Other tools are not user interface friendly where as Automox user interface is very easy and customizable as well. Unique thing about Automox is that it has great dashboard but other tools has good reporting structure which is a bit lacking in this tool.

Automox dashboard is great and has a great potential to improvise, specially the graphs and easy to understand process and not to forget the major functionality of deployment and patching at end points. The easy to use interface helps to set up. vulnerabilities are reduced by a great scale after using Automox. When compared to other tools they are priced on a higher scale.
