Overall Satisfaction with Avalara
We use Avalara for our sales, which is company-wide. It is used to calculate tax and submit sales tax returns in all of the states that we are currently registered in. We intend to also use Avalara's system, CertCapture, to manage exemption certificates, which we are just beginning.
- Tax calculation by jurisdiction.
- Submit sales tax returns.
- Support should do a better job of reading the case submitted and not simply reply with the first canned response.
- Help us more with the problems we have encountered with the software company, Argentis.

A few stumbles with difficulty between us and the add-on software provider, Argentis. We had a test environment, so we had good infrastructure to deal with some of the issues. One particular problem was that the CertCapture UI was not fully functional, so we have had a very tentative go-live.
- Avalara Returns

We have not fully explored CertCapture yet. Avalara Returns is good, but it is lacking for use in the State of Washington for a manufacturer.
The other product was terrible. There is no comparison to be made.
