Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR

BambooHR handles all our employee's data and tracking! This includes hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and offboarding. We'd be lost without this program as it allows managers to really manage their team member's accounts. As an HR department of one, I'm grateful to have a program to not only quickly help me solve issues, but also other members of the team.
  • Onboarding Task Management.
  • Integrates with other programs well.
  • Hold employees' documents and notes.
  • Easily requests promotions and raises.
  • Build some features out to better handle multi-business companies - like departments in "hiring".
  • Be a resource hub! Allow pictures and templates in announcements. Would help our communication to be centralized.
  • Document Tracking.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding Tasks.
  • Hiring Platform.
  • Integration with Deputy, TalentLMS, TraxPayroll, and Bonusly.
  • HR able to focus on bigger things over admin tasks.
  • Gives employees the ability to see and manage their data.
It's user-friendly even in the settings and custom options. It is not as intuitive as I'd like for multiple business groups.
Always knowledgeable and solves the issue! It's a 9 because they are sometimes in all-company meetings with no emergency hotline.
We typically can get the information we need through reports! Majority of the time, it's straightforward.
They do lack a simple way to look up historical data.
We have BambooHR because of its great interface and user-friendly design. It meets our employees' needs as well as our employer's needs. We have integrations with some programs where Bonusly isn't able to cover.

Well suited for employee documentation! Will hold and manage most HR areas. Must consider payroll integration. We went with Traxpayroll (owned by BambooHR) to help with this integration. This could not be used for all mass communications.

3 - We have a 3 person HR team all experts in BambooHR. We are in the system daily and ensure processes are followed and documentation is accurate.

We'll make a move only when our growth requires it. BambooHR payroll is painful for POS integration and location accounting. Ideally they'd incorporate by location timesheets and pay variants.

Evaluating BambooHR and Competitors

Yes - ADP was used before I started working here. They changed because of the cost and lack of usability among employees.

A one place for everything. We need something to hold pay and benefit information, hiring, evals, etc.
We need a software able to work seamlessly with three business groups and 15 locations. BambooHR will not keep up as we grow.

Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled - Overcommunicate and give Managers the tools to implement with their teams

We're had great support being on the Advantage package. We are not Pro users, but our requests are always answered.
Yes - Yes for the most part
All the time! There call lines are fairly quick and all reps are knowledgeable. One time the rep did not know, but quickly emailed me that they are escalating the issue. I got an email from the department lead and it was resolved by EOD.
