Overall Satisfaction with Basecamp
We use Basecamp across our whole organization, but it is key for our Development team. We manage over 20 individual apps: Windows, Web, Mobile. We run separate Basecamps for each application to track individual development tasks through ideation, coding, testing, debugging and release. We have used other apps in the past and looked at competitors, but the simplicity and unique approach provided by the Basecamp team suits our needs best in our agile workflow.
- No nonsense pricing. I don't have to worry about adding seats or projects and paying more.
- Simple to use and customizable for each project.
- Keeps my inbox clean because I can track all our workflow without email and constant chat messages.
- Some of our tasks lists are big, and the drag and drop reordering is a little glitchy sometimes.
- Most tools can be turned off if not needed, but I wish I could disable the Pings function also.
- The simple pricing allowed us to use Basecamp in all parts of our organization.
- The cost of the app is low when compared to alternatives.
- The ease of use means we don't have to spend a lot of time training.
We look at JIRA, but found it way too complicated for our needs.
