Overall Satisfaction with CCH® SureTax®
We use CCH® SureTax® to keep track of the taxes on our billing accounts in Rev.io. We are a telecom and as you may know, the taxes can be a bit hairy, so having a product like CCH® SureTax® available to us makes our job much easier. Helps us sleep a little better too! CCH® SureTax® tracks not only the different types of tax, but also the various states the taxes affect and all of their individual rates.
- Sales Taxes for each state, city, metro area, etc
- FCC charges in each state
- PUC charges for the phones
- Listing everything out by month, alphabetically, clearly
- Some areas of the website feel clunky - like the beginning map
- I wish I could access this account directly from Rev.io via a link
- Potential savings of 8 hours regulatory work in-house.

I currently use or have used the products above or versions of them - I use Rev.io the billing platform, not the PSA, I no longer use Sage 100, we are currently using Sage 300, more on the server version than the cloud version - but we have it configured to talk to both.
So CCH® SureTax® is just another tool in the toolbelt as it stacks up against the rest. Everything has its place and time. Sage300 handles the bulk of the accounting, Rev.io does the billing, CCH® SureTax® handles the tax. That's the simplest way to explain it. I don't have to spell out how much complexity goes behind those statements. If you're an accountant, you know.
