Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce HCM
Ceridian Dayforce was implemented in 2013 at my company, the system is used by all of our users in 23 different locations. We use Dayforce for payroll, benefits, core HR, time & attendance, and ACA and will be implementing performance management this year. As a multi-location company and an array of users' varied technical skills, Dayforce is simple to use and understand for our employees. Our administrators for payroll and HR/benefits have ease of use for their daily tasks.
- Continuous improvement. Dayforce consistently updates features and provides enhancements, some are from client suggestions.
- Training. Dayforce has great training materials provided via video or instructor led. These are so helpful for a refresher or if looking to implement a new feature.
- Technical Support. When I have an issue, my support POC addresses issues timely and in great detail.
- There are some challenges with custom reports, generally if they require an update like an additional field this is potential for a fee to do so.
- After we implemented Dayforce Biometric Time Clocks from our previous out-of-browser webclocks, we were instantly able to see that we no longer had a dependency on our internal IT Team for support. These clocks do not get hung up like the previous system and has dramatically reduced the amount of paperwork for administrators on corrections when clocks would freeze.
- We do not have a dependency on our IT department for support with Dayforce, any issues are managed by myself the HRIS administrator and with Dayforce Support when needed.
As we are a multi-state employer, as states have different labor laws we can have multiple time clock punch and payroll policies depending on the state rules. The time clocks and system enforces those rules to not allow employees and managers to override these rules resulting in a clean and compliant payroll.
Ceridian Dayforce as a single application that provides one user experience and one employee record for us means that we have less room for inconsistent data since we do not have multiple interfaces. Inconsistent data would open us up to errors and issues for payroll, benefits and HR so having one solution is key for us.
We have confidence in all of these modules since they are all pulling from the same core HR record.
