Overall Satisfaction with Cisco AnyConnect

Well, this is mostly to enable the people working from home. So with the hybrid work now we are using it more and more. So everyone uses this on a daily basis.
  • Well, I love the possibility of doing the split tunneling so we can, in this way, reduce the load on the gateways and have a nice user experience for this SSE application that doesn't have to go to a corporate network.
  • Hard to use.
  • So far, yes. And I think that having this product already before the pandemic started was really lucky for us. I mean it was really to a further extent having some other firewall, Cisco Fire Powers in place, it was easy to use them as a gateway for the AnyConnect lines, which were already installed on all the user pieces. So it was just enabling the business to work during the pandemic. I think that's the best example we had.
We had one or the other topics, like they used to use, for example, DHCP server where you can also do the name resolution for the clients at home. But that was just maybe a difficult way to introduce it to the product. That was one of the things that I would like to have in the future. We have it on other, it was not really straightforward. We have implemented it so far.
Yeah, for sure we're benefiting from this capability. We are always encouraging all the employees whenever they work with their PC that they should use AnyConnect. So they should not work without being VPN-connected.
I was testing the Fortinet product which was also okay. But I think once I had AnyConnect I haven't seen reasons to change to another vendor.

It always makes sense to use it whenever you want to access a corporate network. So this is offering a secure way from a public internet like we are here today or from a coffee shop to secure the corporate network.
