Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches

When I first joined the company (a network based company) i had to implement a voip model which is to make two ip phones to communicate with each other, to do this i had to use the following architecture : 2 Cisco IP phones and one Cisco catalyst switch with one Cisco router.
  • easy configuration
  • good equipement
  • easy to configure the interfaces
  • the ability to link it to a cisco router
  • maybe a good GUI
  • it made me be able to use Cisco ip phones
  • connect devices within the company by using the switch's ports
  • connect all devices to the network
Unfortunately, I hadn't the opportunity to use virtualization in the company because it was just to configure the VoIP technology so the Cisco Ip phones could be configured to use the wifi to communicate, but when I was a student I did use it with virtualization on a server and created virtual machines.
Unfortunately, we didnt given the opportunity to try these advanced features in the company, because we were just using the network scope to configure the IP phones and to make sure our devices are connected within the company so we can receive calls from our clients, but maybe in the future we can see the benefit of these feautures
as we all know the most famous company when it comes to network equipment is Cisco which is why it's easy to use cisco catalyst switches, first of all, there's a big community of users, second if even you have a question you can always reach to the community or read the documentation provided by cisco, also the commands are easy to learn and to remember which makes any beginner or anyone with no networking background can work with a cisco catalyst switch just by reading the documentation

As I mentioned earlier,i used Cisco catalyst switch to implement a voip architecture and it was my first time with this technology but luckily because of Cisco catalyst switch it made things easier for me , the configurations command were easy to learn and user friendly also the documentation,when I had errors i would seek knowledge from forums online but most of the time reading Cisco's documentation is enough.
