Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Teams

We implemented [Webex (formerly Webex Teams)] to enhance our remote Work communications capabilities during the COVID lockdown. We were a previous WebEx Meetings customer, so Teams was a natural extension to our solution set. We are using it to streamline one on one communication along with multi-business unit teams and spaces for projects that was handled via email or face to face meetings before. The flexibility of members in spaces and teams is extremely beneficial to the business.
  • Group membership is flexible.
  • Client works on Mac and PC equally well.
  • Interface is easy to learn.
  • It is very responsive.
  • Centralized management options are lacking.
  • Capabilities can be confusing if you don't have an integrated phone system.
  • The concept can be hard to explain to someone who isn't familair with channelized communications like WebEx Teams, MS Teams or Slack.
  • It has definitely helped with Remote Work communications.
  • New ways to use it will become apparent as the product devlops.
We selected WebEx [(formerly Webex Teams)] primarily because we were already a WebEx customer. We were looking for a way to bring employees working remotely closer together and this type of platform seemed to fit the bill. We started testing with Slack and saw the benefits. I investigated MS teams, but because we were were not heavy O365 users, there was a lot of backend setup that needed to be done. Adding WebEx Teams just made sense. We were accustomed to the quality we had with WebEx meetings and the basic requirements we wanted were all there.
I have called WebEx Support about some Teams issues and enhancements with mixed results. I think a lot of the issues with supporting this platform are its "Wild, Wild West" nature. Centralized management is minimal and this inhibits support from resolving some issues. Admittedly, the support team tried hard to come to a resolution, some things just are outside their control.

Do you think Webex App delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Webex App's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex App live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Webex App go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Webex App again?

Yes

I definitely think this product will become more feature rich and add additional uses as it matures. The interface is solid and works well once users get used to it. Communication is faster and more robust than using email. The type of platform seems to be the way fo the future.
[Webex (formerly Webex Teams)] is definitely well suited to an environment with a remote or dispersed workforce. It has helped my team streamline communications since day 1 of the mandatory Work From Home decree. Other areas of the business were brought online after the fact and have picked it up with varying degrees of success based on the technical abilities and open-mindedness of the division management team. I think [Webex (formerly Webex Teams)] would really shine if it was fully integrated in a Unified Communications environment where it served as the voice, IM and group messaging hub for the organization. I don't think it would do well if people just treat it as an IM client.
