Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
We use the product mainly for remote support. We set up both ad-hoc sessions, as well as persistent "access" sessions across the enterprise. Our customer service goals are well served with this product, across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms, i.e. OSX, win7, Win10, Windows Server.
- The organization of the host interface makes locating particular clients quick and easy.
- Performance of the remote control sessions is very responsive.
- Cross-platform (OSX/Windows) is a requirement in our environment.
- The handling of Windows 10's UAC prompts could be managed better -- when the host user is using OSX, it can be downright difficult to get elevated permissions on a windows workstation.
- It would be nice to have more built-in tools (file transfer, service management, etc.)
- Affordability
- Customer support is quicker and more efficient.
- Bomgar Remote Support Software, ReachOut and WebEx
ReachOut is old and has been discontinued (or bought out by someone else); WebEx is problematic in a support scenario, as elevation of privileges can be difficult, and some administrative windows aren't passed across the remote session. Bomgar is expensive and much more complex to configure and manage.
