Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

I set up Cvent Event Management, for the entire organization to use, including the clubs throughout the country. It was used for events/seminars/large meetings. Only a few assistants, in corporate, used Cvent Event Management, and we were spread throughout the country, in different regions. It allows you to set up, prepare, and communicate, within and out of the organization, to anyone necessary, about something that is taking place, within your organization or even within your department. You can keep track of participants, respondents, etc. There are several different reports that can be run, and each report can be customized to meet your tracking needs.
  • The set up stage in Cvent Event Management is simple, yet detailed. It greatly assists you as you put your event together.
  • The set up stage is imperative, because this is where the main points of information are entered, regarding the who, what, where, when and why.
  • There are separate pages, where details for your set up can be included, to keep you on track as to what is needed for your event.
  • You can always add more details to your main page, or to each of your separate pages, so that your event information remains organized.
  • I'm not sure about things that need to be done differently, or improved upon. I think this just comes down to not knowing about a functionality in Cvent. Whenever I was unsure if something could be done in Cvent, I would call and speak with a representative. It turns out, that for all the questions I had, there was a solution.
  • I think the impact that Cvent Event Management had was all positive. Different segments of the organization were able to put together multiple events in Cvent Event Management, without any of the confusion that can come with preparing multiple events/meetings, at the same time.
  • If I am planning three or four events/meetings, I can set them up in Cvent Event Management, and not get confused as to what I am doing, as everything is set up separately, and organized to the detail of each event.
There are a couple of other products I've used as well, that I can't remember the names for. Cvent Event Management is one of the most user-friendly, detailed products I've used for event/meeting planning. Every detail pertaining to your event/meeting can be broken down into specifics. You can set up your event/meeting months in advance, before you even have the details of your event/meeting, making retaining the information you need much easier. Everything can be done digitally, as opposed to needing paper copies of everything.
I don't know about key questions to ask. I think it depends on what you are planning. I was brand new to Cvent Event Management, and the event that was being planned was including hundreds of people, from all over the country, so I had a long list of questions I asked when I first spoke with a Cvent representative. Because I had all the details in place first, I was walked through the process of putting together the event, as well as what Cvent could do for our event. My suggestion is that you have appropriate, realistic questions ready, pertaining to what your needs are. This will make it easier for you, personally, to realize what it is you need and what you can do with Cvent. It will probably make it easier for the rep. you are talking to, to better assist your needs, as well.
