Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP
F5 BIG-IPs are used as to deploy applications at scale on all of our edge locations. BIG-IPs allow for our organization to standardize deployments across our edge and secure them. The products allows for integrations with partners to further enhance our security posture. The support team has been instrumental in helping with implementations, troubleshooting, and architecting our infrastructure.
- Scaling our applications across hybrid and cloud environments
- Protecting our endpoints through various integrations with partners
- Flexibility to update configurations and profiles through iRules for our applications...enabling our business to quickly pivot when action is needed.
- BIG-IP iRule versioning, when irules are updated on the fly, there's no way to roll back. This is generally addressed in a different product offering, but probably a moot point to address this in the current product. :)
- Positive impact for using BIGIP is the flexibility provided for application deployments
- Negative impact is the learning curve managing the appliance / device
