Overall Satisfaction with F5 Distributed Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall)

F5 Distributed Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall) is used to protect our public and private web applications. We were using BIGIP previously, and patching the appliance was cumbersome, having to do it a couple times per year. BIGIP also did not provide much application observability for devs and admin staff. XC, being a WAF-aaS, solves these issues and provides dashboards for understanding web application traffic
  • Global Service Policies to push to all web applications
  • Up to date attack signature detection
  • dashboard to show why requests are being blocked and to help troubleshoot issues
  • Accelerated time to value
  • Improved security posture
  • Easy to configure and manage
F5 Distributed Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall) allows us to delegate web application responsibility to the developers. The API-first console allows devs to integrate WAF setup with their pipeline. Having the devs handle the majority of the web application security allows for other teams to audit their configurations and for the networking team to focus on their projects.
Yes - Global service policies allows uniform policies accross all applications, regardless of environment. It makes WAF very simple, with no need to worry about updates or patching
