Overall Satisfaction with Figma
We are using Figma to create designs for and wireframe our website
- An easy way to create mockups and wireframes
- Allowing collaboration between multiple people which helps with incorporating feedback
- The nesting of pages and frames - helps keep things organised
- There is a bit of a learning curve, it's not intuitive at first even though it's easy after
- I wish it was easier to create text styles, something like being able to just right click and select "Create text style" would be great
- Sometimes there are issues with the fonts. I'm not able to edit the doc someone else created and I keep getting a notification that it's because of the font
- We save time on having to do redesigns over and over because Figma helps us visualise the final product very well
- We also save time on collaboration by being able to leave notes in comments
- Canva and Adobe PhotoShop
For creating website wireframes, Figma is the perfect balance between ease of use and product functionality.
Canva is easy to use but it doesn't offer the flexibility that Figma does when it comes to design.
Photoshop has a lot of flexibility and functionality, but it's harder to use and get the hang of. Also, neither of these platforms allow you to create an interactive prototype
