Overall Satisfaction with Figma
All our product designers use figma. It helps our designers build lo fi, hifis and mockups. Which ultimately goes to our engineers to build the feature/product. They use it for wireframing and coming up with multiple iterations. It also helps senior designers see and review features and collaborate with them to build a crisper iteration.
- Realtime collaboration on a particular project where people added to it can view and edit hand offs as needed
- Ability to save reusable components and having a design system with predefined styles and mockups ready to be used anywhere else
- Ability to integrate into other apps like Slack
- Better touchpad shortcuts to change between move, edit and comment
- Instead of undoing changes, figma should have a history option or something like version control to roll back changes to a file
- improve prototype experience on the figma phone app
- The user friendly UI has sparked interest in our graphic design team as well. They are trying it out for some of their work which needs some last minute touch ups
- Having a design system on figma has made it possible for engineers to standardize borders, animations, colors and transitions. This has made the overall product more consistent and less visually glitchy
Figma is more easy to use and most designers are well versed in figma because of how widespread its usage is. The price point is also better than that of most competitors and it’s good value for money for big teams that need realtime collaboration
