Overall Satisfaction with GIMP
I primarily use GIMP for editing staff identification photos. It makes the process super easy, the service is free and continues to stay current with the latest updates. I have found this program to be much easier to use than other platforms and appreciate its simplistic format.
- Lasso tool is great for getting a nice clean cut around the edges
- Easy removal of backgrounds
- Layering - simplified.
- If you have never used a photo editing software it can be a little overwhelming with so many buttons and not always clear on their function.
- Being able to utilize a free product that works as well as a paid subscription has definitely been a positive ROI. (Adobe PhotoShop Elements for instance is $30 per month)
Very similar feature with the greatest difference really being paid vs. free platform. This is important to note especially for larger organizations.
