Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Connect

My office uses GoTo Communications/JIVE for our phone systems and fax. Though, the product is has kept pace with my agency, the billing, documentation, and customer service has been a horrible experience. I was told by the previous agency owner to keep them and have been regretting it ever since. I have had to fill out half a dozen documents to transfer everything over. Their process and departments keep screwing up the paperwork. I've had to transfer everything including name of business, phone lines, fax line, caller ID change, timing of calls, etc. all by using separate documents, people and departments. And now I just found out that I've not only been charged for every individual change, but have even been double charged for a phone line change. I was offered way better rates for more lines with other companies, but I decided to stay with GoTo, not knowing how horrific this experience would be. Do yourself a favor, and never sign with this company. They've given me nothing but headaches every time I've tried to contact them. Absolutely the worst company I've ever worked alongside!

  • Good phone service that doesn't drop calls
  • Will contact you back after a few days, even if you need them right away
  • You will not be able to contact their customer service by phone
  • They will charge you for every change you make, even a simple name on caller ID
  • They do not resolve your issues until maybe a week or month later
  • Charged me over $10 to transfer services
  • Charged me $15 for changing caller ID per line (2 lines)
  • Charged me $15 for changing name on fax line
  • Charged me $15 again for changing caller ID on the same phone line
  • Refused to assist unless I emailed them signed documents multiple times
Setup was easy. But getting questions answered later on about specific phone and lines took months to correct

GoTo is a standard VOIP phone service. They will set you up then hope you never need anything from them, because it won't ever be resolved promptly or to your liking. And if you do need something, you will have to wait a long time and get charged for any assistance.
