Pleasing UX for startup-friendly HR platform
Overall Satisfaction with Gusto
We use Gusto as our HR platform, including payroll, benefits, expense reimbursement, offer letters, and onboarding. We use Gusto for salaried employees, hourly employees with time tracking, and contractor payments. Overall, Gusto simplifies HR administration and keeps us compliant with taxes. It has helped us scale from initial handful employees to 30+ today.
Pros
- Payroll
- Benefits
- Offer letters
Cons
- Better customer service
- More support around state tax registrations
- More general compliance support
- Payroll
- Benefits
- Compliance
- Easy to administer benefits
- Easy to scale offerings (i.e. 401k, HSA)
- Easy to send offer letters and onboarding materials
Gusto doesn't necessarily have the full power of an ADP or options that Justworks may provide. However, I have found it much easier to use by comparison. It seems to me like a platform created specifically for startups and companies looking for pleasing UX to make sense of difficult HR concepts.
