Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

HireVue is being used across the whole organization for recruiting purposes. We use Live Interviews and On Demand. HireVue makes it easier for hiring managers to review candidates as their calendars allow, versus us having to schedule everyone live. With managers and candidates around the globe, HireVue certainly makes a difference!

Pros

  • Allows for candidates review as hiring managers' calendars allow.
  • Quickly let's us see which applicants are a bit more tech savvy.

Cons

  • Clarity of the video could be improved.
  • Room for improvement in ease-of-use.
  • Saved us on travel costs for candidates.
I haven't used another system like HireVue, so I can't really compare them to their competitors. Skype is good for Live Interviews, but obviously does not have on demand capabilities.
HireVue is great for seeing if a candidate has a professional demeanor and communication skills via the On Demand interviews. HireVue helps prevent scheduling headaches in terms of aligning all calendars. We've saved money on getting people in to various offices for interviews via the Live Interview feature.

    Thanks for reviewing us! We really appreciate it and take all feedback seriously. I'm glad we could save you some headaches in the recruiting process! We realize that technology is not always reliable. However, before each interview we make sure candidate's (and interviewer's) webcams, microphones, and internet are working properly before interviewing. Unfortunately some candidates may have better quality webcams than other candidates, and there is no way to fix video quality in that sense. However, if you are referring to intro videos, or our own intro videos, I can have our engineers look into that. Could you please clarify what videos you were referring to? We want to make sure HireVue is fantastic quality and a fantastic experience for everyone. I'd love to hear more from you about your concerns about our ease of use! We have a step-by-step instructional guide that goes along with the digital interview, as well as a detailed email that goes out to all candidates taking an interview.
