Overall Satisfaction with Intacct
I am a part of the outsourced accounting department of Salmon Sims Thomas. We offer cloud based solutions to our clients and perform outsourced accounting services. We implement Intacct for our medium-large clients and use the product every day. Currently, we are the only department to use Intacct. We are working to change the internal accounting software from Quickbooks to Intacct as the firm grows. We use multiple tasks within Intacct for our clients and integrate the software with Nexonia and Bill.com. We use this solution primarily for accounts payable, bank reconciliations, a center for documents, contribution recordings, statistical reporting, as well as all financial reporting.
- Reporting is one of the best features Intacct provides! Not only are the "out of the box" reports fantastic, but the ability to create customized reports give us the ability to show our clients virtually anything they want to see, exactly how they want to see it.
- Dashboards are a great unique feature Intacct offers. We can customize the Dashboards for each user and show them information through graphs and pictures which our clients LOVE. They dont have to go digging around on the website to see what the want to see; it's right there when they sign in.
- Drill down capability. You are able to drill down into the specific journal entry from the GL. You dont have to search and search, and click and click. It's so easy to drill down and see source documents
- AR invoicing templates are not ideal. Creating better custom invoices would really be great!
- I would love to be able to drill down into the JE during bank recs on both sides. Right now you can drill down on the deposits, but not the withdrawals (except for checks).
- It would be great to be able to add a quick check directly to the check queue. You're able to do a quick check, but the PDF pops up rather than sending it to the queue to print. We add a bill and select to pay, but its a lengthier process. Our clients print their checks but we code and add to queue for them. It would just be a great addition.
- We are able to integrate bill.com for AP, and Nexonia for credit cards into Intacct and role those into our daily reports. We are able to save so much time on data entry!
- Intacct offers so many great classes through the learning center, and partner office hours, we are always current. We never have to sit frustrated with not being able to understand something. This saves us time and energy. Intacct makes it so easy for information to be found.
- We are able to login anywhere, anytime and see real information. When our clients call us as we're sitting in the airport we dont have to tell them we cant access their information; we can pull it up right then and there. It is so accessible we never have to worry about disappointing clients with not having the information we need.
We use QBO for our smaller clients, and it does okay. We do like their mobile app better than Intacct, but it doesnt offer the same ability to customize and drill down in reporting like Intacct.
