Overall Satisfaction with JazzHR

Our whole team is using Jazz HR for recruiting our new full-time staff, part-time, and even bringing our volunteers on board. The workflow for each position is different so it solves our problems of managing those three processes. It's a very big help to have all the documents and notes about each candidate from every stage in one place that's secure and shareable. And the initial screening step is invaluable to let us focus on follow up with truly quality candidates.
  • Initial screening. New candidates can be vetted with a go/no-go simple button, or individual staff can give a vote. This helps weed out candidates we don't want to pursue, and also allows our team members with interest in the hire to indicate their vote without a final decision.
  • Interviews are built in to Jazz and are really simple and flexible to use. Each interviewer records their own notes with their own perspective.
  • Questionnaires are easily created and sent out to candidates as part of the automatic workflow.
  • I'd like to see interviews have some shared questions for situations with multiple interviewers to see the real-time notes that others in the room are taking.
  • Reporting is robust, but still leaves room for improvement. I think you can pay for premium reporting that will dive into your unique workflow stages.
  • We have more quality candidates applying
  • We're spending less time screening candidates
  • all the members of our mobilization team can jump in and out of the process and stay in touch with progress on candidates really clearly.
  • Workable
Like most ATS platforms, Jazz has similar features, but came in for significantly cheaper than the competition and totally sufficient for the needs of our team. With our Zenefits integration discount and a non-profit discount it was a very clear choice. The startup / activation process was very simple with no implementation fees.

Do you think JazzHR delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with JazzHR's feature set?

Yes

Did JazzHR live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of JazzHR go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy JazzHR again?

Yes

Jazz is great for our smallish team with a significant volume of candidates. Easily posting jobs online is great for us and saves a lot of time.

I could see that a larger company with far more job postings may need a more robust platform, but we're not there yet, and won't be for years.

Using JazzHR

12 - All of our teams use Jazz for hiring employees. This includes our admin, fundraising, and marketing teams, as well as our core business team. Our managers are involved in in Jazz for the screening and interview process and our staff mobilization team is involved to make the whole process move along without a hitch.
It's really not hard. Jazz is a great platform that doesn't take much in house support. I'm the administrator of the platform and from time to time I have one other team member help me revise a workflow or some templates. the process once set is very straightforward for the team to use.
  • job posting publishing
  • screening candidates collaboratively
  • Running the interview process
  • Volunteer screening and onboarding
  • background checks
We've renewed for four or five years running now. We plan to keep using this platform as a key portion of our workflow.

Evaluating JazzHR and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
Jazz is competetive on features with several other platforms I reviewed, but the decider for us was that it came in significantly more cost effective while providing the level of easy user experience and great features we needed from the solution we looked for.
No change! I'd do it again, probably sooner.
