Overall Satisfaction with Progress Kendo UI

Kendo UI is being used by my team to build/re-platform our legacy products. We are using Kendo UI controls in our Angular framework on the front-end. The applications will be used across the organization. The business problem Kendo UI addresses is the need to have a modern UX without needing to create a lot of custom controls.
  • Really easy to incorporate the controls
  • Progress/Telerik is very helpful in feedback and engaging to further knowledge of updates.
  • Large community that provides fixes/known issue work-arounds.
  • I would have liked to have more input from Kendo folks early in our implementation process - we didn't ask.
  • Kendo UI has positively impacted our ROI because we were able to just use the controls without taking the time to build them and discover the needed features.
  • Infragistics and GrapeCity
I felt that all three of these offerings were close, but Kendo seemed to be a little easier to work with inside our Node/Angular environment!

Do you think Progress Kendo UI delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Progress Kendo UI's feature set?

Yes

Did Progress Kendo UI live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Progress Kendo UI go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Progress Kendo UI again?

Yes

I gave Kendo UI's usability a 10 because it is pretty straightforward to add to projects and the controls look great with a lot of examples on the Telerik (Progress) website to make adding and using them very easy. The functionality that comes with each control delivers on exactly what we need for the projects.
To be honest, I have barely used their support because the documentation and examples are so extensive. With that said, the few times that I have reached out to support, they were able to either correct my issue quickly or direct me to the appropriate page to resolve my issues.
Kendo has worked really well in Angular 1.x for us. I haven't tried using it later version of Angular or Vue, but plan to test these areas out in the near future.
--UPDATE-- Kendo works really well with Angular 9 and I would assume Angular 10 but I have not actually updated my project to 10 yet. The ability to use similar controls between Angular and .NET MVC is great!

Using Progress Kendo UI

1 - I represent a software development consulting business function and work with several clients across Node.js, C# .NET Core and Angular contracts.
1 - Since I am the only one using Kendo UI, I am also the one that supports our internal efforts to use this fantastic library. I look for ways that Kendo UI extends the "out of the box" Angular and Material controls.
  • Angular UI on top of an IRIS datastore and API layer
  • Using the Kendo UI Grid control for billing application
  • VB6 replacement application using Angular and Node.js on a SQL Server database
  • Users increased satisfaction with client side controls of grid (filtering, sorting, moving columns, etc)
  • Easy upgrades to new versions of Kendo UI as they are released
  • Cascading dropdowns are very easy to implement
I am very likely to renew my licensing because I am actively working on the projects that use this library and there is an incredible amount of controls available that make development faster and increases usability
