Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4

KnowBe4 is synced to our AD server, so there is very little interaction in managing new and disabled users. Syncs occur every 6-hours, so users are added or removed on the same day they are created in AD. This helps ensure that new users are immediately plugged into training and phishing tests.
CarDon began partnering with KnowBe4 (KB4) in 2017 and currently uses KB4 quarterly to phish over 1000 associates. Associates who fail phishing tests are asked to attend online security awareness training using one of the many modules KB4 makes available through its platform. At this time KB4 is our only tool for ongoing security awareness training.

Pros

  • Phishing campaigns are easy to set-up and monitor.
  • Campaigns track user actions and provide reports to system admins.

Cons

  • At this time I do not have any suggestions on how to improve the service.
  • We now see that users are more careful when clicking links embedded in emails.
  • Users are also now more willing to report suspicious emails to the helpdesk.
KB4 support has been excellent. Generally speaking, I'm able to get help from my sales rep before I engage customer or technical support. Since the platform is constantly updated, I find that I'm not using the latest features or tools. Andrew has been extremely helpful in walking me through campaign setups and reporting so our senior executives can understand and see the benefits of the service.

Updates to the training material keep users engaged and offers different insights into the same common cybersecurity issues.
Smart groups allow IT to see which users are having the hardest time understanding the phishing and vishing concepts. It also allows us to customize training for these groups and specifically deal with repeat offenders who are not grasping the training concepts. Campaign closing reports allow executives to see the immediate impact and gauge the effectiveness of our training.
Every organization should be practicing security awareness training in some manner. Since no business, large or small, is immune to hacking, I would definitely recommend KB4 services to colleagues in any industry. The benefits of consistent and appropriate phishing tests have the potential of saving a company from an embarrassing and costly cyber-attack.
