Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
We are using KnowBe4 for all of our faculty and staff at our school to raise the general security awareness here to help protect our systems and users. We are also going to be rolling out their student package shortly.
- KnowBe4's training material is very easy for our users to understand.
- KnowBe4's has an effective system for continuous monitoring of our staff to identify areas that need additional training.
- KnowBe4 puts a focus on having support to make sure that you are using their product effectively.
- The setup with Office365 can be a little tricky, but it is mostly because of Microsoft's SPAM protection.
- I needed to use group policy to prevent the test spam messages from being moved to junk email by Outlook.
- Heightened the awareness of my users to security threats.
- Reduced security incidents.
- Educated employees of how to handle email threats.
Fresh training is critical to keeping a security awareness campaign relevant. If you can't continue to present your employees with fresh content the training will be something they did once and forgot. Using KnowBe4 I am currently pushing out a new Netflix style video to my employees every 2 weeks to give them a reminder of something that is covered in the annually updated security awareness training.
User management is very simple. I have an agent installed on a server that automatically enrolls new users when I add them to a security group in Active Directory. I used the security group so that utility mailboxes don't get added automatically.
There are several important reports we use from KnowBe4. My favorite is that it emails peoples managers when they have incomplete training. The manager is identified in Active Directory and synchronizes using the agent. This saves the IT department from having to directly remind users and keeps managers tied into the awareness training. Also, the click reports that tell you how many people are clicking on the phishing test emails are useful. It's not really a report, the the phish alert button that notifies IT of potential phishing attacks is great. It can be used to provide feedback to the user and also to trigger IT to purge the message from all users mailboxes. The EEC Pro Analysis is always a good thing to read through when it gets sent to you.
