Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Kronos Workforce Ready is being used across our company, in multiple departments and in several locations throughout the region we are located. It has enabled us to streamline and integrate our hiring, human resources, time tracking and payroll processes from several different software programs into one fully integrated and complete system with access not only on PC but mobile access as well.

Pros and Cons

Kronos has wonderful reporting abilities, we are able to pull all sorts of data and drill down to find the results we're looking for.
Processing payroll is efficient and easy to do with their "checklist" format.
Everything you need regarding your employees, past and present is right at your fingertips and easy to locate.

Setting up the system is complex and requires a lot of work with your implementation specialist, it seems like there are many steps to get certain results, the upside is it is very customizable.
Having a dashboard that allows for more customization.

Return on Investment

Kronos has provided the opportunity for me to focus my attention elsewhere with the streamlined payroll processing.
Kronos Payroll Services has automated our payroll withholding reporting so that we no longer have to manually report for federal and state.

Alternatives Considered

ADP Workforce Now

Kronos has a much more streamlined payroll process and less complicated reporting abilities. The self user abilities are more in-depth and easy to navigate for users. Having a mobile interface that mirrors the desktop interface is also a wonderful advantage to ADP.

Industry Expertise

Kronos was able to make a complicated payroll less complicated. It does a lot on the back end (once you get it set up) that previously required more time and was less efficient.

Role-based Success

Kronos Workforce Ready has enabled me to not only process payroll more efficiently and accurately but it has also given us the ability to generate reports and do ad-hoc reporting in a more efficient manner with fewer manipulation and only having to pull data from one source versus many sources previously.

Quality of Resources

Kronos was several training guides and an online community. One downside is that there is sometimes a wait between opening a ticket and getting a response, I've noticed this time increasing since we first started using Kronos. It would be helpful if we had a designated line to call and be connected with someone right away versus having to wait (sometimes a week). Another downside I've noticed recently is that whenever we do open a ticket it seems like the same person always answers our ticket. This could be a positive or a negative depending on the competency of the person assigned to your account, for us its been more of negative.

Likelihood to Recommend

Kronos is a great application if you have complex payrolls, with many different pay structures, scenarios, types of pay, etc.
