LinkedIn Sales Navigator does what it should do, navigate sales.
Overall Satisfaction with LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Sales Navigator was used at my last company by the entire sales team. We used it for mainly for prospecting purposes (clients and contacts) and for social selling. It allowed us as users to make meaningful touch-points with potential prospects through social interaction, avoiding traditional phone or email outreach. It also allowed us to leverage advanced analytics regarding LinkedIn postings.
Pros
- It does social selling rather well. You can follow a prospect and gain valuable information on their interests and focus.
- It does analytics well regarding posting industry or company material on LinkedIn.
- It allows for advanced search abilities which have been stripped from the basic (non-paid) LinkedIn membership.
Cons
- I like that it has a more advanced search option than basic LinkedIn, but the search abilities seem limited. These could be improved.
- I wish that users could actually capture the name of the individuals looking at their postings.
- It had a positive effect by helping the sale steam identify and close new accounts.
- It allowed for a smarter, sometimes easier sale.
They are both LinkedIn products and both are solid. As I mention earlier in the review, both have their advantages. LinkedIn Talent has a much better search option I feel. Sales Navigator has a much better social selling aspect, allowing users to follow and interact with prospects a lot easier.
