Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
I use Litmus to debug email code in real-time using the Build app. I also extensively use the Test app to identify rendering issues across all email clients and mobile devices. I have also use the Analytics script and app to provide very specific email use stats to clients.
- Litmus is the best email rendering engine, keeping up with the ever changing collection of email apps, web clients and mobile devices.
- Litmus continues to iterate on their goal to provide the full suite of tools for serious email marketers, from SMB to Enterprise.
- Litmus creates reliable content and training to support the email dev and marketing community.
- As email development adopts more scripting and code automation, Litmus has an opportunity to increase their API integration and generative AI functionality.
- Litmus has saved hours by allowing me to test email rendering in bulk rather than one at a time.
- Litmus has saved me thousands of dollars by allowing me to test dozens of mobile devices virtually, rather than having to purchase these devices to test manually.
- Litmus serves as my proof of accuracy with clients when they do strange things to the email I have coded when forward and resize emails.
Since email development is, for the most part, unstructured and lacking in standards, coding emails to client specs involves testing "hacks" and work-arounds. Being able to quickly render test a series of these to achieve a design request saves a tremendous amount of time.
The education and rendering experience Litmus has provided over the years has spearheaded the email design system movement and spawned a valuable collection of other tools that support the industry. Our client facing strategy and communication has been greatly influenced by the rendering information that we glean from Litmus as each mobile app, mobile device or email client adjusts their email process methods.
I do not use this feature with clients.
Litmus has a better UI and is more of a full featured suite of tools for a digital dev/marketer.
