Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor

I use LogicMonitor for our infrastructure monitoring servers, network and clusters. LogicMonitor features and designs aids with [the] challenging issues [we have with] our on-prem monitor and alert [system]. Additionally, LogicMonitor was able to give us visibility to all the infra components and [the finer] details of alerting.
  • Granual visibility on resources component health
  • Cloud solution
  • Excellent Dashboards and integrations
  • Collector dependencies
  • Licencensing
  • Good saving on per sensor cost
  • Contract pricing is high
PRTG and SolarWinds are not holistic solutions compared to LogicMonitor which covers all the IT infrastructure resources from servers, applications, network gears and firewalls with meaningful dashboards. Besides, the native cloud built by LogicMonitor provides scalability and eliminates the management overhead of the on-prem tools such as PRTG and Solarwinds.
We use the hybrid model with the infrastructure in multiple geographic locations, averaging about 1000 devices.
LogicMonitor Saas-based deployment was a key component in choosing it as our monitoring tool as we wanted to move away from management and maintenance overhead using onprem tools.
LogicMonitor has enabled us to retire legacy tools and increased our visibility into the infrastructure which gives us the ability to proactively address issues and reduce downtime. For instance, the health checks on the components within each resource allow us to take action before things go wrong.

Do you think LogicMonitor delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Did implementation of LogicMonitor go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy LogicMonitor again?

Yes

We have used other tools for our infra monitoring specifically for Vmware cluster where we were surprised with the number of sensor count usage for each component on a resource. With LogicMonitor, one sensor per host was able to pull/monitor all the components on the hosts including VM's which was a huge saving.
