Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor
We used LogicMonitor to manage a customer's network as part of a managed services engagement. The client was in manufacturing and had eight global locations.
Pros
- Generate Alerts to Support Team.
- Support Multiple Types of Equipment.
- Provided ability to verify status.
Cons
- Required more senior technical knowledge to set up and manage.
- Not friendly from an outside MSP business arrangement standpoint (scalability) of licenses, etc).
- Lack of ability to integrate with common MSP tools (E.g. PSA, documentation platform).
- We ended up moving to a different product.
- Leaving the platform actually was more cost effective for us as an MSP.
We have managed about 100 devices in a client's multi-location network with numerous types of devices (and for that it was fine). We have since moved to Auvik and are managing many more.
We found that it required more advanced knowledge of technical skills and was not at all friendly to less technical resources that might occasionally have been needed to get specific client information. We found Auvik was stronger in that area and went in that direction long-term.
No, we did not retire tools with it. We actually retired LogicMonitor and went with a different platform that provided better integration with other tools.
