Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart
I use Lucidchart to design and layout tasks in a visual way to aid in job completion. These are given to staff who are working in the field with teams of contractor labour, the drawings are then read and used to complete technical setups based on the design supplied via the Lucidchart drawing.
- Quick drawings, with signal flow shown.
- Decision Trees to aid in Health and Safety documents etc.
- Online access and easy sharing of drawings.
- Adding custom shapes is not as intuitive as I would like.
- For our use, there is no audio type shapes.
- Showing complex signal flow in large diagrams can be hard.
- Quick and easy to make drawings means that we can specify more technical details for onsite staff in a manner that can't be confused. This is a time save for re-work.
- Online sharing means that we don't have to print and save over and over and re-distribute documents to staff. This has increased our office team's time available for other tasks.
- We have redesigned our health and safety documents with a new drawing from Lucidchart, we believe that this has made our safety documents easier to read and thus increased the safety of our team.
We currently do not use any integrations.

We used to use AutoCAD for all drawings, however, it was much slower to draw and required better hardware to run. After introducing Lucidchart for basic drawings we found that we could produce more and quicker, all with an easier way to share drawings with our other staff. For this reason, we choose Lucidchart for quick drawings. However, we still use AutoCAD for some more technical type drawings.
