Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

It is not that intuitive at all. For the first few days, you will need to constantly google the simplest tasks. It is also not all that responsive, this can grind you down when the app cannot match your speed. When replicating other charts it can be very difficult to force or "train" line paths so that the appearances of the two diagrams match, this is vexatious.
I use Lucidchart as a substitute for Visio, Impress, Powerpoint, or even Dia predominantly for embedded graphics. It is a means to an end, not without issues.
  • Scales elements when required.
  • Provides a range of export options.
  • Runs in a browser.
  • Seemingly infinite undo functionality.
  • Cannot trust cropping when exporting, needs to be verified and manually forced.
  • Have not been able to animate my charts yet.
  • Needs deeper library of shapes for technical charts.
  • Needs to update shape libraries when required, should be within 6 months of terms or shapes changing.
  • Does not snap lines so that they are perfectly superimposed.
  • Cannot save projects for sharing.
  • It would be nice where shape libraries are versioned, to be able to update en-masse as if the shapes were referenced or linked.
  • Find and replace fo shapes, not just text.
  • Negligible ROI, because work cannot be saved, nor exported, it is not re-usable.
  • The learning curve can be steep, but as with PowerPoint, Visio there are benefits in being able to copy and paste shapes.
  • Because we can export PNG artefacts, charts can be reiewed by email.
None, we have not availed ourselves of any integration features.
We have no issues with support. Improvements take time.

Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

interestingly more than half of my alternatives are unrecognised.
Lucidchart works online. It does not require Windows. It does not require a download. It does not require installation, by extension it does not require local admin. I can use it from any country in the world from any device running a browser with one subscription.
Lucidchart is useful when you need it now. Less appropriate for situations where re-use or sharing might be required. It does of course require internet access, so it is not suitable for offline use, aircraft, trains. Many of the features are not obvious or are difficult to discern for the first time, such as repositioning an entire work on the canvas.
