Overall Satisfaction with LumApps

We had multiple data sources and a variety of data living in each system, due to this issue, users were unable to easily find information about teams/depts/new projects. With LumApps, were able to give each team a dedicated page so users could find additional information on the team and their initiatives.
  • Widgets are easy to use
  • easy to mange users/permission with the use of labels and groups
  • ability to create sub pages allows for scalability
  • Widgets not are users friendly or easy to use. They work, but you have to know what you are doing
  • Integration with IDP i.e Okta can be improved. There are some missing features like pulling Profile pictures
  • We are unable to resize users profile pics
  • reducing time searching to data
  • reduced time it took for user to find relevant info about teams/depts
  • improved inboarding exp for new hires as we now have a dedicated page for all info a new hire needs
LumApps is a good product but it is not easy to use. The widgets present themselves as easy to use but once you start customizing a widget you can run into a lot of unknown issues. We had a consulting team assist us with building pages but if we had to do it on our own it would've taken really long to complete.
The integrations work but all of our apps are available to users via Okta so this functionality just grants the users the ability to access Apps via LumApps if needed. However, we still direct our users to access apps via Okta.

LumApps is well suited for a team that's dedicated to working on the platform and maintaining it. If a normal user needs to create pages/content there is a steep learning curve. It should be easier to customize the pages but you have to really know proper HTML to have the page display properly i.e sizing widgets and banners.
